Lapce is Snappy Rust Newcomer
Lapce is a popular editor, boasting 25K stars, written entirely in Rust. It supports remote development akin to VSCode and has a plugin system that supports writing plugins in programming languages that can compile to WASI format.
“Awesome” list can be found on rscircus/awesome-lapce.
Plugin repository is somewhat sparse at the moment.
One potential issue to consider is that Lapce uses Druid UI as its frontend, which has been discontinued.
Lapce is usually fast and occupies minimal memory. However, upon loading, for example, the Markdown plugin, its memory usage balloons up to 200M. It supports various language syntaxes, all through plugins.

Mane, strašne:
- Nema line wrap?
I tried Lapce on macOS, since it’s easily installed via brew - and it’s all true: it’s fast, but it’s too rudimentary.
