How to Invest or Trade in US Stock Market for non-US Citizen?
SogoTrade ($3.00 commission) and Just2Trade ($2.50 commission) are not very good brokers and too expensive for 100 and 200 share trading. If you are an active stock trader you want to use a direct access broker. Interactive Brokers charges $0.50 per 100 shares with a $1.00 minimum.
Sogotrade is my choice now. Just2trade is even cheaper (USD 2.5), but there will be no margin, and no option. Sogo got options.

Questtrade is Canadian. Accepting me, normally. No inactivity fee for over $5000 equity, if less than $5000 it is $25/quarter The only thing I dislike is trading in CAD (Canadian Dollars). They are not subject to the PDT and seem reputable.

Neces se ti leba najesti od trgovine na berzi ako imas novca kupi neku nekretninu u Budvi neki stan u Novom Sadu ili neki apartman u Beogradu pa krckaj pare. Sve ostalo je bacanje para.
Tako sam i ja razmisljao kad nisam znao za bolje.Jedno 8 godina sam ziveo u zabludi nekretnina pa nekretnina. Danas bih prodao sve nekretnine i prebaciju na stocks market. Jednostavno problem je u sledecem. Kad trziste ide dole (korekcija trzista) iz nekretnine je JAKO tesko izaci tj prodati je jer svi tad hoce da prodaju. Na berzi kad krene sra*e kao ovo u Iraku ti mozes da zatvoris poziciju za cas. To je kljucna razlika zasto treba izaci iz nekretnina i investirati na berzi. Ljudi se plase nepoznatog i to je normalno i shvatam ja to jer sam i ja bio takav pre ali jednom kad udjes u sve to shvatis da je stocks market dugorocno najisplativiji. Ja bih danas prodao svaku nekretninu i usao u stocks.

Mozda na primer Dr Alexander Elder, njegova knjiga se zove “Trading for a living”.
Gledajuci cisto Zakonski nasa drzava ne dozvoljava da drzavljani Srbije imaju otvoren cak ni bankovni racun u nekoj stranoj zemlji takodje ne dozvoljava se kupovina nekretnina. Opet cak je i Vuk Jeremic otvorio racun u banci kada je bio u New Yorku. Ja sam imao otvoren racun u USA zadnjih 10 god. Licno sam prebacivao neki novac u USA i pozvao sam Narodnu Banku Srbije. Konkretno sam dobio odgovor od njih ako je u pitanju “manji” iznos ne proverava se previse. Pitao sam sta znaci manji i konkretno su mi rekli do “par stotina hiljada dolara” U principu ako su veliki iznosi onda se pali lampica NBS i dolazi do nekih provera. Trgovanje na berzi nije zabranjeno ali NBS ne preporucuje iz prostog razloga jer nasi ljudi nemaju dovoljno iskustva. Osim toga NBS ne preporucuje trgovanje na Lidertraderu i Ilirici (cisto zbog sigurnosti jer ta oba brokera nemaju uplacen depozit za sigurnost kao sto na primer banke imaju) a NBS ne pominje nista za Americke brokere.
Realno ja uvek racunam oko 15% godisnje i to je to.
Mozes buy and hold ali nemoj sve sto investiras da bude na single stocks. Kupi ovako na primer ako je u pitanju 10.000$

Ako bi zeleo jedan single stocks da kupis i da cekas ja bih to uradio ali na primer sa AXU ili bilo koji drugi silver/gold ETF, fund ili stocks i to bi trebalo da ‘tajmujes’ da kupis negde mozda sredinom/krajem 2014.
Ja sam slao iz intese. Napravio sam sam “invoice” sa logotipom mog brokera jer me mrzelo da se cimam ko ti 2 nedelje ;-) I naravno nisam im rekao da je broker nego da sam zakupio server u data centru. Na invoice-u sam napisao “Internet server services” i cifru koju sam uplatio.

Just put an sell order at double today’s price (extremly high). As they are ‘on order’ they cannot be lent out by your broker and in turn you are reducing the amount of ‘free shares’ out there that can be used for shorting purposes. And don’t forget to move your limit order up when the price starts to recover, then, that way your shares can’t be shorted - not much but helps.
Although an individual personal investor will not normally have enough shares to halt a concerted shorting attack, if a large number of holders did this it would reduce the overall amount of shares that they could get their hands on.
